Workshop overview

Drift seldom happens through one dramatic decision. More often, it develops quietly—when comfort replaces challenge, busyness is mistaken for progress and familiar routines begin to limit future growth.

Even capable and accomplished people can reach a point where they are working hard but no longer moving intentionally towards what matters most.

From Drift to Drive is an engaging leadership and personal-growth workshop designed to help participants recognise where they may have slipped into neutral, reconnect with a meaningful direction and rebuild momentum through focused action.

Based on the principles in Chris Robinson’s From Drift to Drive, the workshop offers a practical framework for moving beyond complacency and taking greater ownership of one’s leadership, work and future.

Workshop Objective

The objective of this workshop is to help participants identify signs of personal or professional drift and develop a practical roadmap for moving forward with greater clarity, courage and intentionality.

Participants will be encouraged to:

  • recognise subtle patterns of complacency
  • distinguish between genuine progress and unproductive busyness
  • clarify an important personal, professional or leadership goals
  • move from overthinking towards purposeful action
  • identify the knowledge, support and resources required for growth
  • refocus time and energy on what matters most
  • strengthen accountability and supportive relationships, and
  • develop a practical commitment for sustained momentum.

Workshop Outline

Recognising the Drift

Participants reflect on where comfort, routine or competing demands may have quietly shifted them away from their intended direction.

Reconnecting with Direction

The workshop creates space to clarify what matters now, what meaningful progress would look like and where renewed focus is required.

Moving from Intention to Action

Participants explore how to overcome hesitation, overcomplication and the pressure to change everything at once—replacing these patterns with practical forward movement.

Creating Space for What Matters

Attention is given to the commitments, distractions and habits that may be consuming energy without supporting the desired destination.

Strengthening the Support for Growth

Participants consider the people, guidance, learning and accountability that could help them move further and more sustainably.

Building a Personal Roadmap

The learning is brought together in a focused personal roadmap that identifies a meaningful direction, immediate priorities and a practical commitment for moving forward.

The Workshop Experience

This is an interactive and application-focused workshop that may include:

  • guided leadership reflection
  • a personal drift assessment
  • facilitated group conversations
  • practical workbook activities
  • individual goal and priority clarification
  • peer learning and shared insight and
  • the development of a personal action roadmap.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is suitable for:

  • business owners and entrepreneurs
  • directors and partners
  • leaders and managers
  • high-performing professionals
  • emerging leaders
  • individuals navigating transition or uncertainty
  • teams that have lost momentum or focus, and
  • anyone who senses that it is time to move beyond “good enough”.

What Participants Will Take Away

Participants will leave with:

  • greater awareness of where drift may be occurring
  • renewed clarity about what matters most
  • insight into habits and distractions affecting progress
  • a more intentional approach to growth and action
  • greater awareness of the support required for success, and
  • a practical roadmap for moving forward.

From Comfort to Courageous Momentum

Past achievement does not guarantee continued growth. Sometimes the greatest risk is not failure, but becoming comfortable enough to stop stretching.

From Drift to Drive helps participants recognise the rumble strips, return to the driver’s seat and move towards their next chapter with purpose.

Notice the drift. Reclaim your direction. Reignite your drive.
